N Chandrababu Naidu, the leader of the Telugu Desam Party (TDP), was sworn in as the Chief Minister of Andhra Pradesh on Wednesday, marking his fourth term. Pawan Kalyan, the ‘Power Star’ and chief of the Jana Sena Party, also took oath as a Cabinet Minister.

Naidu’s return as Chief Minister is a remarkable comeback story. Just months ago, he was in jail following his arrest by the Enforcement Directorate in a money laundering case related to an alleged skill development scam. After being released on bail, Naidu led the TDP to a decisive victory in the state assembly elections, in alliance with the BJP and Jana Sena.

Pawan Kalyan, along with 23 others, including Nara Lokesh, the son of Chandrababu Naidu, were sworn in as ministers. The Jana Sena Party secured three Cabinet positions, while Satya Kumar Yadav was the sole BJP representative in the Andhra Pradesh Cabinet. The Cabinet, including the Chief Minister, can have up to 26 ministers in the 175-member assembly.
