BJP General Secretary Vinod Tawde praised Bhadauria’s extensive service in the Indian Air Force (IAF) and expressed confidence in his ability to actively engage in politics following his distinguished career in the military.

Tawde highlighted Bhadauria’s nearly four-decade tenure in the IAF and his contributions to Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s Aatmanirbhar Bharat initiative. Bhadauria originally hails from Uttar Pradesh, and the BJP is yet to announce its candidates for several seats in the state for the upcoming Lok Sabha elections.

RKS Bhadauria Joins BJP

Rakesh Kumar Singh Bhadauria, the ex-chief of Air Staff, officially became a member of the BJP just before the 2024 Lok Sabha elections. His entry into the party was witnessed by BJP General Secretary Vinod Tawde and Union Minister Anurag Thakur. Bhadauria retired from his service in September 2021, making room for the current chief, Vivek Ram Chaudhari.

Bhadauria is originally from Uttar Pradesh, and the party hasn’t decided on its candidates for some seats in the state for the next Lok Sabha elections.

RKS Bhadauria, the ex-Chief of Air Staff, mentioned that despite serving over four decades in the IAF, he found the most fulfilling period to be the last eight years under the BJP government’s leadership.

RKS Bhadauria’s Career Highlights

Bhadauria began his journey with the Indian Air Force in June 1980 as a fighter pilot. Throughout his impressive career, one of his standout achievements was overseeing the negotiations for a significant deal worth Rs 59,000 crore with France in 2016.

This deal involved the purchase of 36 advanced Rafale fighter aircraft. Over his nearly four-decade tenure in the IAF, Bhadauria played a pivotal role in supporting Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s Aatmanirbhar Bharat initiative.

Vinod Tawde commended Bhadauria’s lengthy tenure in the armed forces and expressed faith in his potential to actively engage in politics following his years of service in the IAF.

RKS Bhadauria hails from Agra, Uttar Pradesh. The BJP has yet to finalize candidates for several constituencies in the state ahead of the upcoming Lok Sabha elections.

Upon joining the BJP, RKS Bhadauria expressed gratitude to the party leadership for allowing him to contribute to “nation-building” once more.

“I’ve dedicated over four decades to the IAF, but the past eight years under the BJP government have been particularly rewarding. The government’s bold initiatives to strengthen and modernize our armed forces, fostering self-reliance, have not only enhanced our capabilities but also boosted morale.

The tangible outcomes of these efforts are evident on the ground. The government’s focus on security is crucial and will elevate India’s stature globally,” he remarked.
