Rape Case Against Sajjan Jindal False

Mumbai Police have closed the case against Sajjan Jindal, managing director of JSW Group, after determining that the rape accusation against him was false. According to India Today, the police submitted their findings to the Bandra Metropolitan Magistrate Court. They concluded that the complainant had tried to falsely incriminate Jindal.

The decision to close the case was based on evidence and statements from various witnesses, including hotel staff where the alleged incident occurred. The police confirmed that Jindal was not present at the hotel on the day in question.

The complainant had initially filed the rape case at BKC police station in December 2023, alleging that she was assaulted in January 2022 at the penthouse of the company’s headquarters. Dissatisfied with the police response, she took her complaint directly to the court.
