Rocky, considered one of the main orchestrators of the paper leak, was swiftly brought before a CBI court where he was granted 10 days in the custody of the agency for further questioning and investigation.

Authorities disclosed that Rocky’s involvement in the alleged paper leak conspiracy, centered around the Hazaribagh-Patna region, came to light through the use of advanced technological methods and meticulous investigative efforts. This breakthrough led law enforcement to conduct searches at multiple locations in Patna and West Bengal, suspected to be linked with Rocky and crucial to the ongoing probe.

The arrest marks a significant development in the efforts to unravel the complexities of the NEET-UG paper leak scandal, underscoring the investigative strides made by the CBI in pursuit of justice and accountability in educational integrity.

About Rakesh Ranjan

Sources indicate that Rakesh Ranjan, known as Rocky, formerly managed a hotel in Ranchi, Jharkhand. Rocky allegedly orchestrated the leak of the NEET-UG question paper, sending it to an individual named Chintu who distributed and printed copies with answers for students.

Rocky is reportedly the nephew of Sanjeev Mukhia, another individual implicated in the NEET paper leak investigation. Additionally, Rocky arranged for people to solve the leaked NEET-UG exams, recruiting several MBBS students from Patna and Ranchi.

The arrest of the primary suspect occurred shortly after authorities apprehended two others, including a candidate, in Patna related to the case. Sunny, an NEET-UG aspirant from Nalanda, and Ranjit Kumar’s father from Gaya, have also been taken into custody.

CBI Arrests Nine in Bihar, Expands Probe Nationwide

The Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI) has taken action in response to serious allegations surrounding the NEET-UG entrance exam. In Bihar, nine people have been arrested for their involvement in leaking the exam papers. Similar arrests have been made in places like Gujarat’s Latur and Godhra, as well as in Dehradun, due to suspected involvement in conspiracies related to the exam.

The CBI got involved after students across the country raised concerns about unfair practices in the exam. As part of their investigation, the CBI has launched six separate cases, known as FIRs. One of these cases in Bihar deals specifically with the leaked exam papers. The other cases from Gujarat, Rajasthan, and Maharashtra involve incidents of impersonation and cheating during the exam.

Among those arrested in Bihar is a person named Rocky. Additionally, authorities have arrested several others in Gujarat and Uttarakhand as part of this ongoing investigation.
