Over 8,000 guests, including professionals and cultural performers, will attend. Due to the upcoming G7 meeting in Italy, which Modi will attend later in the week, the guest list is limited. Special Invitees for Narendra Modi’s Oath-Taking Ceremony

Prominent leaders from neighboring countries and the Indian Ocean region will attend Narendra Modi’s swearing-in ceremony, emphasizing India’s ‘Neighbourhood First’ policy. Confirmed attendees include:

  • Sri Lanka President Ranil Wickremesinghe
  • Maldives President Mohamed Muizzu
  • Seychelles Vice-President Ahmed Afif
  • Bangladesh Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina
  • Mauritius Prime Minister Pravind Kumar Jugnauth
  • Nepal Prime Minister Pushpa Kamal Dahal ‘Prachanda’
  • Bhutan Prime Minister Tshering Tobgay

Special invitees also include:

  • Vande Bharat loco pilot Aishwarya S Menon from Chennai Railway Division
  • Asia’s first female loco pilot, Surekha Yadav
  • Sanitation workers, transgender staff, and laborers from the Central Vista Project

Additionally, rat-hole miners who rescued 41 trapped workers in Uttarakhand’s Uttarkashi tunnel last year have been invited. The ceremony will also host various distinguished guests such as:

  • Doctors
  • Artists
  • Cultural performers
  • Influencers

Participants mentioned in Modi’s ‘Mann Ki Baat’ and recipients of Padma awards (Padma Vibhushan, Padma Bhushan, and Padma Shri) will also be present. Outgoing Parliamentarians, BJP leaders, NEC members, and other MPs, MLAs, and MLCs will join the event.

PM Modi’s New Cabinet

Prime Minister Modi’s new cabinet will likely have around 27 to 30 ministers. This group will include some ministers from the National Democratic Alliance (NDA) and a few state ministers. According to the plan shared with the allies, for every four to five Members of Parliament (MPs), there will be one cabinet minister, and for every two MPs, there will be one junior minister.

In the latest general elections, the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) won 240 seats. The entire NDA, which includes the BJP and its allies, secured a total of 293 seats out of the 543 available in the Lok Sabha, which is the lower house of India’s Parliament. On the other side, the Congress party won 99 seats, while the INDIA bloc, a coalition of various parties, captured 234 seats.
