Responding to the Hate and Abuse
Along with the thank-you message, Rahul also addressed the hate he and his family faced after his previous remark. He shared that many people had crossed the line by sending hateful messages and even editing pictures of his young daughter in a wrong way.
He said,
“To the immature people who abused my wife and sister, morphed pictures of my little girl, and sent hateful messages to my family – may God give you wisdom. I could have replied with more anger, but I chose not to. Spreading hate leads nowhere.”
Rahul made it clear that he wants to move forward in a peaceful and respectful way, instead of continuing the negativity.
A Special Note for Virat Kohli’s Brother
In the same post, Rahul also mentioned Virat Kohli’s brother, Vikas Kohli. He shared a kind message saying that he had no hard feelings toward him.
“Vikas bhai, I didn’t feel bad about anything you said. I know you’re a good person. I still remember meeting you outside the Manchester or Oval stadium. You had said such nice things about my singing. Love and peace to you and everyone,” he added.

Rahul Vaidya’s Past Comments on Virat Kohli
The controversy between singer Rahul Vaidya and cricketer Virat Kohli began when Rahul shared a harsh message on Instagram Stories. In his post, Rahul criticized both Kohli and his fan base. He wrote,
“Virat Kohli’s fans are even bigger jokers than Virat!”
Rahul further expressed his frustration, saying,
“Now you’re abusing me — fine. But abusing my wife and sister, who have nothing to do with this? That just proves my point. That’s why you all Virat Kohli fans are jokers — 2 kaudi ke jokers (worthless clowns).”
These comments quickly spread across social media and sparked outrage among fans.
The backlash started when Virat Kohli’s Instagram handle was seen liking a post from a fan page of influencer and actress Avneet Kaur. This simple action led to several reactions online, including Rahul’s angry response.
However, to clear the air, Virat Kohli later released a statement asking people not to jump to conclusions. He explained his side and urged fans to avoid making unnecessary assumptions based on social media activity.
