In 2018, Karan Johar introduced Janhvi Kapoor and Ishaan Khatter in the movie “Dhadak.” Now, after almost 5 years, he’s ready to release a follow-up with new faces. Recently, on May 27, Karan shared the exciting news on Instagram.
The new film, titled “Dhadak 2,” stars Triptii Dimri alongside Ishaan Khatter. Karan’s post hinted at an intriguing storyline with the caption, “This story is a bit different because there was a king, there was a queen – their worlds were different… but the story ends. Last Year ‘Dhadak 2’ Rumors
Last year, there were rumors about Karan producing “Dhadak 2” with Siddhant and Triptii, but he denied it on Instagram. He clarified that Dharma Productions wasn’t working on any film with that title.
Before that, Pinkvilla reported that the filmmaker saw potential in continuing the theme of love overcoming obstacles, like in “Dhadak.” They quoted a source saying the filmmaker approved a subject for a sequel, believing it could become a franchise.
