The Uttar Pradesh Public Service Commission (UPPSC) is responsible for conducting various civil services examinations and recruitment processes for different departments of the state government. It plays a crucial role in ensuring that qualified individuals are selected for various governmental positions, including medical and healthcare roles.

UPPSC Radiologist Recruitment 2024

In 2024, the UPPSC aimed to fill 70 radiologist positions in government hospitals across Uttar Pradesh. The interviews were conducted on May 21, targeting various categories including the general category, Other Backward Classes (OBC), Scheduled Castes (SC), Scheduled Tribes (ST), and Economically Weaker Sections (EWS).

espite the extensive recruitment efforts, no suitable candidates were found for the 70 radiologist positions. Interviews were conducted for:

  • 27 general category posts
  • 20 OBC posts
  • 15 SC posts
  • 1 ST post
  • 7 EWS posts

However, due to the absence of candidates during the interviews, all these positions remained vacant.

Plastic Surgeon Recruitment 2024

Similarly, the recruitment process for 50 plastic surgeon positions was conducted with interviews held on May 18. These roles were also distributed across different categories to ensure inclusivity and representation.

Out of 50 advertised plastic surgeon positions, only four candidates were found suitable:

  • Abhinav Khare
  • Pallavi Nigam
  • Soni Suman
  • Pankaj Singh

The distribution of the positions was as follows:

  • 21 general category posts
  • 13 OBC posts
  • 10 SC posts
  • 1 ST post
  • 5 EWS posts

UPPSC Recruitment Vacant Positions

After the recruitment process, the following positions remained unfilled:

  • 17 general category posts
  • 13 OBC posts
  • 10 SC posts
  • 1 ST post
  • 5 EWS posts

Reasons Behind the UPPSC Vacancies

The following are the reasons behind unfilled position of radiologist and plastic surgeon at UPPSC Recruitment:

Lack of Suitable Candidates

One of the primary reasons for the large number of unfilled positions is the lack of suitable candidates. The stringent requirements and qualifications needed for these specialized medical roles might have limited the pool of applicants.

Absence During Interviews

The absence of candidates during the scheduled interviews significantly contributed to the vacancies. This issue suggests possible logistical or communication gaps in the recruitment process.

Non-Submission of Required Documents

In some cases, candidates failed to submit necessary documents, such as the Economically Weaker Section (EWS) certificate, leading to the cancellation of their selection. For instance, Chandan Mishra’s selection as a pathologist was canceled due to non-submission of the EWS certificate, and Pooja Dwivedi was recommended in his place.
